Who gave you your first opportunity?

MY EXPRESSIONS (2).png

Ever since I was a little girl, I have had a desire to help others around me. Whether it was at age 5 when I got my own radio show where each week I would share a story with children and teach them a sing-along, or gathering kids in the neighborhood to teach them mathematics or dance, or even through high school and university, you would find me teaching, helping, encouraging, or leading a team. As a young entrepreneur, my sisters and I sold various products and services that made people happy and helped them live better lives.

Although my parents hoped for a boy, I was born as the 4th girl and lastborn of the family. At a very early age, I could discern the privileges the boy-child seemed to have compared to girls. I could feel the injustice and societal expectations levied on women and girls. I was privileged to have parents who loved, educated, and empowered my sisters and I but grew up with many who did not have such opportunities.

My dream is to see every girl and woman FREE to dream, FREE to rise up and be whoever they want to be, and EMPOWERED to support their families and communities because when you educate a girl, you build a nation. A wealthy and influential woman creates a wealthy community and empowered future. I am always looking for partners, volunteers, collaborators, and givers. Together, we can support the UN SDGs #5, #8, and #15 creating an equal and empowered society. Below are some of the ways I care.

Campus Ginger Initiative

During the peak of the COVID pandemic, with universities and colleges closed across the continent, our mission was to continue to motivate and educate African-based UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS & YOUNG PROFESSIONALS on resilience with a focus on living on purpose, dreaming gigantic dreams, and becoming well-rounded leaders of the future in a chosen career field. Mofoluwaso mentored over 150 Gen Zs over a period of 6-12 months. At the end of the mentoring cycle, the mentees embarked on a pay-it-forward community project. View 2020 Webinar Replays Here.
