Mofoluwaso.. the meaning

The screeching sound from the car jolted me back to reality. I must have been lost in a dreamland, a million miles away. “What is going on?” I asked my driver, stretching my neck forward as I popped back into reality. The car had almost veered off the road before suddenly coming to a sudden halt.

I looked out through the window instinctively, and to my shock, about a few yards away from us, a fully loaded eighteen-seater bus had capsized into a ditch. “Dear Lord!” I exclaimed, leaving the door of my mouth open.

The thrills and confusion around me almost took my breath away—or what was left of it. The air was razed with defeating gunshots. Pings of bullets from AK47 and pistols sounded like fireworks on Christmas Eve. “Where are these shots coming from?” I muttered, as my heart quaked in fear and my soul sank into depths of oblivion.

In order to escape the bandits, I crossed the expressway to the other side of the road, and I made my way into a nearby bush, while still keeping at my take-off pace until I collapsed into an anthill. There, I mustered the remaining energy to pluck out a few leaves and branches to cover myself. My lips were vibrating uncontrollably as I tried to recite Psalms 23 to stay safe in green pastures. “Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil”

Mofoluwaso simply means “The Lord is my shepherd”
